When I saw the title of this article, it caused my interesting . So I read this article with my curiousness.From the description of the article, the author always pretends to love pop culture . she got along well with her cool friends. they was talking about the 'new' things, such as the legendary actress Maggie, MCGonagall and so on, when they got togeter. But she sometimes she pretended to not know anything and declared nerd immediately. She seems have double life, she likes nerdy things, like the zombie movies and pan painfully terrible fan fiction. she thought her life of lies was a survival tactic, but she tired of living a lie.
To be honest, the author was not neccessary to hide herself, no matter the pop culture or the nerdy things, all these should share with her friends, if they are your friends, they will understand you.
