The article Surprising Sake is about the usage of sake with other food. John Gauntner who wrote 5 books on sake and is a certified master of sake tasting says that sake can be used not only with Japanese food, but also with pasta, meat or fish. Overall, he says, sake is good with “smoky things”. Finally, Gauntner thinks, that no matter what food you will have with sake, you can enjoy it only if you are ready to experiment.
After reading the article I was very surprised, since I have never heard that you can drink sake with different food. I think this article shows one more time that we have to be open to new things, especially when it’s about international cuisine and drinks.
